I have had a contract with them: 10 months short of 3 years. I moved from Manitoba to Ontario and I can no longer receive incoming long distance calls. It says “all circuits are busy.” Sometimes after a few hours of trying, people can get through. Because I just moved to Ontario, most of my calls are incoming from Manitoba, and a few from AB and BC.
I have called SIX times to get them to fix my phone. Since their tech department doesn’t call and let you know it’s been fixed, I have to keep calling. The last time I called, the guy told me they “forgot” to write down the service number and he would call me back to see if they had started fixing it. Previous to that they told me it would take two days. It is STILL not fixed after over two weeks of calling them. So, finally I asked to speak to someone about cancelling my contract. I explained that the service was not being met (since I can’t receive most my incoming phone calls) and Dipak, ext 6642 told me that it “wasn’t a guaranteed service” and that “I was arguing semantics on the term ‘service.’” He offered me no apologies or anything to make up for it and said it would cost me $200 to cancel my contract, because they were still trying to fix it….he just doesn’t know how long it will take…apparently it could take another month. He also said he "didn't know what I should do." He was extremely rude and refused to let me talk to anyone else, even though I asked repeatedly.
The worst is that I liked Telus before and recommended many people to them. I can’t believe how horrible my service has been. One day I called twice and nobody even answered. Worst service ever.
