My husband decided to buy us each a cell phone from Telus. While he was looking at his phone, Kyla from Telus (Tac Mobility Vernon) was setting up my phone and fumbled and dropped it. My husband was too busy looking at his phone the think anything of it. When my husband brought the phones home I opened my phone's box and as I was going through the screens I noticed a crack that was only visible on the screen with a dark background. The store was closed by then so I thought, no big deal I'll just return it the next day. I went back the next day, waiting in line for about an hour and then finally got to talk to Kyla. I explained what happened and she called me a liar "A lot of people come in here and say that". Unhappy with being called a liar, I called Telus and spoke to one agent who said they could get it fixed. But when I called back that agent and the record of our conversation mysteriously disappeared. The next Telus agent I spoke to said that cracked screens weren't covered by warranty (regardless whether or not their own employee busted it). I called the manufacturer and got nowhere either. I cancelled my contract. Thank God I was on a month to month and didn't have to sell a kidney to get out of one of their soul binding hand-over-your-first-born contracts!
