I bought my first cell phone, pretty basic model with no frills, from the Telus store. This was a very big occasion for me because I'm in my fifties and not very good with technology.
After about a month, the ear piece broke. I went back to the Telus store to get a replacement because the phone was still under warranty, but the salesman said, in a very dismissive way, that they "don't support wired sets". Why in the world would they sell me a phone they don't support? That makes no sense, except in cases were the customer is being scammed!
Also, while I was learning how to use it (the salesman didn't give me any instruction whatsoever), I accidentally incurred extra fees for data charges ($9), but they would not waive them.
Such penny pinching from Telus and lack of service from their surly sales people makes me regret buying my first cell phone from them. When my contract expires (in 2 long years), I'll try a different company. They cannot be worse than Telus.
