i cant believe there are so many other people who can confirm what ive experienced with this ridiculious company. (well, actually i can)
there customer service is absolutely terrible, there ignorant and rude, and patronizing on the phone. i cant even begin to type my whole ordeal with these people here cause i dont have the time, but thankfully i just got rid of telus and went with shaw. at last the insanity is over.
first i requested to have a phone service disconected as i was moving to a new location, but wanted to keep my internet service at the old location. they disconnected my phone service along with my internet, even after i repeatedly pointed out that only the phone service was to be discontinued. i reitterated this to them over several phone calls, and they assured me that my internet would not be cancelled, just the phone line. and sure enough they cancelled both, then argued with me when i told them i only requested the phone service to be shut off.
"no " they said you requested both services to be cancelled or they wouldnt have done so"
then at my new location, after a few days of waiting for the install guy to arrive, he took forever to get my services working , when he finally did, only my phone was working, not my internet. that took weeks. then after several months of having my original phone account at the old location cancelled, that number REAPPEARED on my bill with new phone calls and charges that were being placed by someone else. who, i have no idea? i called telus, about the issue and they said there was a system issue, and not to worry. this was several months ago. i made several calls since then and they told me the same story, the issue was being worked on and not to worry about my bill. in the meantime i wasnt making payments because i had no idea what the correct amount of MY charges were. at no time did they contact me to ask why i hadnt been making payments, then 2 days ago, my phone and internet service was suspended.
i called them again, and explained how this whole thing was their mistake and why was i being punished for this? they were again basicly dancing around the issue,
i asked how long before i could get my service reconnected, they said they had to email another dept, and there was no way anyone could tell me when my service would be back, that there was absolutly nothing anyone could do at the time to restablish my services, they said my only option was to basicly wait indefinatly till i got a call from the dept that had my case, at which time it would be dealt with...
i got fed up and requested to have my services/ account cancelled with telus altogether. i then got put on hold(*for the gillionth time) when the agent returned to my call she said was able to have account suspension removed from my account and my internet would be back the day after tomorrow.
i said, "WHAT? you just said you couldnt do anything." ??
she said she spoke to a floor coach and they were able to do it.
i still cancelled my services ofcourse. ive spent enough hours on my cell phone, waisting my minutes, being placed on hold again and again, and treated like dirt over the phone.
a few hours later i got another call from another agent saying that SHE was able to have my account suspension lifted and my services would be back in a couple of days.
i said, sorry i already cancelled my account completely .
she replied with, "so your ok with only a cell phone and no internet or home phone"
i couldnt believe she actually had the nerve to say that.
i said "no, i already arranged for service with another company"
never again, will i be associated with telus.
