Semi-long post worth the read
Called technical service the other day, waited on hold for like 20 minutes (after spending 10 talking to that retarded AI they have) finally i get a rep. Asks me for my information, blah, blah, blah. Finally the god damn idiot asks me what version of windows i use....... so i tell him... i dont use winBlows im on a linux machine. so he puts me on hold for another ten minutes...... finally gets back on the line and says LOL "im not trained to help you" LMFAO so i tell him that i can give him whatever info he needs i am "trained" LOL.... " im not trained to help you"..... so i say that its not a matter of training i can give you whatever info u need... and guess what he said.... well what i heard was "im an idiot, shoot me plz" but he might've said "im not trained to help you" im not sure most likely the first, i called him useless and hung up.
A few months ago i called them and the rep i talked to hung up on me.... i called back.... and holy fucking shit..... same idiot..... hung up on me again. I didnt even say or do anything mean. I just asked to talk to someone who knows the difference between a "packet" and a "frame". And it wasnt hold, it was being hung up on.
Once again like half a year ago my internet connection was cutting in and out, so i call tech support, get like some 16 y/o girl that i had convinced there was difference between a Personal Computer and a PC..... LOL. anyways i already did all the easy steps to fix the problem restart, reset pc's and gateway's renewed my ip even assigned my own called them up, i immediately asked to talk to a technician so the retard said "no need i can help you" i asked once again and what do you know im stuck talking to a retard, so she start "taking me through" the steps to fix it..... so i pretty much sat there for 10 minutes just telling her im doing what she says... which i was not because what do you know its exactly what i did b4 i called. I tried to tell her ive done this already twice... "ohhh well you must've done something wrong"...ROFL.. half an hour later she finally got a technician on the phone.... two minutes later my connection was stable again.
There antivirus/firewall is one of the worst security tools on the planet (ive used asian iptables that offer more protection than that crap). Its a major resource hog. and they only have half of the known viruses in there database (glad i use linux)
Telus blows but there is no alternative where i live so im screwed (shaw is even worse before i got satellite i got shaw... and the technician stole my 50 dollar installation fee) and so far they havent ripped me off (that i know of) i dont realy check my bill but its always like 100 dollars a month... and i dont use my phone for long distance, and my internet only costs 30 a month somethings going on.
