I left telus after 31 years. The last one was terrible. They really do not know how to treat people. I tried to be loval but they are not to their customers. They cut my phone off after not sending me a bill for two months. No notification at all and they have my land number, cell number, email and house address. That was my land line.
My cell is a different story. In my opinion they tell untruths and take from me, they do not care about what they promise. I would pay more money to have service with another provider. Last week they sent me a text at 3:30 am asking me to pay my bill. How rude! 3:30 am. I phoned them to complain and my complaint was ignore and I was informed that I had not entered their latest poll that will give me 3000 telus points. What a bunch of pricks. At least pretend you care.
Today I gave them notification on my account and i called them three times to make sure they got it right. I was on speaker phone with my gf beside me. They told me that I could cancel at $100 per line. I mentioned that a few weeks ago I had spoken to another employee who had told me it was $20 per month. They now told me that had changed and the minimum for cancellation is $100. I said I would wait for the end of my two of my contracts ( three weeks) and they agreed to cancel the cancellation. I called back a few minutes later to see about the portabililty of my three cell numbers. I was informed that the cancellation was not cancelled and that I required 30 days notice (was not told this on the first call) I agreed to stay for thirty days. Then we talked about portability of the number. They told me I could take my number if I paid $100 per account before the accounts expire and on the date of expirey they would not be available to transport.
I would not go with Telus in my opinion they are confused and therefore have difficulty servicing customers consistently
