I just signed in so I can post this quick post.
I just got fired from one of the Telus stores and the reason is following:
I received an order from above to literally lie to people that HTC Desire is out of stock even though stock is full, actually there is no phone we carry that's overstocked like HTC Desire. Something big is happening in Telus I can smell it. Telus will sell you this phone but only if you sign some three years contract or in some cases, 2 years. Even though we (OK, not "we" anymore) are advertising it $449.99 NO TERM everywhere you go. Telus ordered exactly the same thing to every single BestBuy Mobile store, Future Shop, even Black's Photography mobile section. NO ONE is allowed to sell these phones with no term even though it's advertised in every single flyer.
I wasn't allow to sell it, but I felt very, very wrong being forced to lie to people. At least people should know what's happening. Don't lie to them, simply tell them "we are not selling this specific phone with no term any more". I simply told two customers our stock is full, but we are not allowed to sell it with no term, only if you are ready to go with one of the contracts. I mean what would happen if someone asked me if we have it and I bring it to the front, and then they say, I don't want contract, I want it no term?! Should I say: "...sorry we are out of stock..." still holding that phone box in my hand?
C'mon Telus, you can do better. Bell slaves that's what you are, nothing less, nothing more. In a way I am glad I don't work for that company any more. I'll find something else, as long as I love to work, I will be OK.
Sorry if I bugged you people with my story, I just wanted to post this.
Moderators, please forgive my ignorance, if this post is not appropriate for this forum, feel free to wipe it out, no hard feelings. I just hope I did not insult anyone.
Cheers!
