When I first started with Telus I had to put down a large security deposit for the phone. After a few years I asked for it back, of course no interest on it. I was with them 7 years and had numerous problems, amongst them lots of dropped phone calls. Finally I decided I wanted out and of course they wanted huge penalty on the contract. I had 2 phones with them averaging over $100/month. I had been with them for years. No flexibility at all.
So I told them, when the contract is up, I am off and I will cancel everything I have with you, including home telephone. When I asked around I heard many stories similar to mine, so I concluded that they are a big company and do not care at all about customer concerns.
The onlything they will understand is dwindling revenue. I wrote this today because I overheard a colleague today trying to renegotiate/straighten out hic cell service. From my end it sounded like he had a hardass employee who was unhelpful and it brought back bad memories of when I was so ticked with telus that I hung up. After he got off I asked, what company - TELUS.
4 years later, same crap for their customers.
