Back in October of 2007, a Telus sales rep called me and suggested that I try their extreme high speed.
The price difference was minimal, so I agreed to give it a go. Three months went by and I didn't really notice much difference, so I called.
The rep I talked to confirmed that I was indeed being billed for extreme high speed. Yet I was still receiving only the enhanced service.
Since then, it has been hours on the phone with reps from tech support, repair, and customer "care" culminating in the eventual admission by Richard, a telus sales rep, that High Speed extreme was not even available in my area, not now nor at the time that it was sold to me and added to my bill. A credit is forthcoming (not holding my breath) but it no longer matters. This was dishonest in my eyes. They lied to me and billed me for nearly a year for something they hadn't the means to deliver.
I am switching to Shaw effective July 15. They will get my internet as well as my phone. I already use them for cable tv.
I will give not one more nickel to telus' stupidity.
Everything and more of what I have just stated can be documented. I kept track of it all.
